Filling Out an Activity

There are many fields in the activity that can help you better plan and track your referral source visits. However, there are only three required fields to fill out the form.

  • Date I Want to do it
  • What I want to do
  • Kind of Activity (Defaults to face-to-face)

This allows you to quickly create activities on the go and come back to complete the rest at any time.

In the steps below, we’ll learn how to fill out the Activity form in its entirety.

  1. Fill in the Date I want to do it by either typing it in or hovering over the field and clicking the drop-down arrow to open the calendar, then selecting the date of the activity.
Note: You can set the current date, a past date, or a future date.
  2. In the Where I want to go field, enter the Account (organization) you're visiting in your activity.
Start typing the name of the account to view, then choose from the suggested accounts.

Note: Your accounts and contacts need to be entered into the system in order for them to be available for selection.
  3. To select the contact you’ll be visiting, start typing their name in the Who I want to see field then choose from the suggested results
  4. Next, type in the objective and details of your activity in the What I want to do free text field.
  5. Select the Kind of activity the visit will be from the available drop-down list. This will help you quickly identify what you’ll be doing when reviewing your planned day.
  6. You can enter any associated costs of the visit in the What it Cost numeric free-text field.
Note: Consider itemizing the costs in the What I want to do and “What I gave them” fields.
  7. When dropping off items during your visits, you can use the What I gave them section to check off the products you provided during your visit.
  8. Use the What I learned field to take important notes regarding your past or future visits.
Example: “The clinic doesn't have an available front office staff before 10am.
  9. Assign the importance of the visit to help you plan and prioritize your day, using the How important is it field options of low, medium, and high
  10. If this activity needs to be completed by another user, type their name into the Assign to someone else field, then select the user from the suggested list.
  11. Set the status of the activity by clicking the Finish it field to open the options.
Note: Open activities will appear on your calendar.
  12. Finally, when you’re ready to save your activity, click Save Activity.

Add Activity Button

You’re able to create an activity from any page by clicking the orange “Plus” button (shown below) at the bottom right of any screen. Clicking the button immediately brings up the Activity Form you learned how to complete above.
